Welcome and General Information
Welcome to cwsquared: Christian Women/Christian Writers! This forum is dedicated to Christian women who enjoy writing. Whether you write poetry, fiction, devotionals, or educational material, we invite you to join and share. The theme of your writing doesn't have to be overtly Christian. However, as this is a site for Christian women, we encourage all of our members to participate in a way that would honor Christ and each other. In other words, our words should be kind, edifying, encouraging, and honest.
Once your membership has been approved (which mostly consists of making sure you are an actual human!), you can start your own thread in the appropriate genre section. You can use your thread to share your writing, your heart, your thoughts, and your questions. If you would like critiques, you can specify this using the legend found on this thread:
We are glad you're here. Now get started writing!

Critique Types and Guidelines
There are several ways to critique someone's writing, and sometimes writers have a preference, depending on the stage of our writing, the theme of our writing, and, yes, the sensitivity with which we might view comments on a particular piece. If the piece is one of "my babies," I might not be ready for the tough talk, for example. Here's a list of abbreviations you can use at the end of your writing to indicate the kind of critique you are looking for:
NC - No Comments (I just need to get this out)
EN - I need some encouragement
PF - I'd like positive feedback. I welcome suggestions, but in a positive manner
GNP - Grammar nitpickers please stop by; I need some proffing proofing
SI - I'd like some spiritual/Biblical insight
GBU - The good, the bad, the ugly - seriously, I can take it!
